Important News for Summer 2025!
The City of Split has been working hard on revitalizing our stunning coastline and improving the infrastructure over the last few years. The big showpiece is this exciting project to transform the Znjan waterfront and connect the city to the beautiful town of Stobreč via a new waterside path.
But big plans take time. And it's taken a bit longer than they planned... Due to the ongoing construction works this season we expect disruptions and closures around Žnjan and Trstenik. This will probably include partial closures of certain beach sections in Žnjan, detours for pedestrians and vehicles, and some limitations on access to facilities. Read on to discover which Split beach clubs that will definitely open in 2025 and won't be affected by the construction works.
The Best Beach Clubs in Split for 2025
Here's our top 3 beach clubs in the city of Split for summer 2025:
Mistral Beach Club has an amazing setting on a secluded beach in Split.
1. Mistral Beach Club (Trstenik Beach)
Part of the four-star Radisson Blu Hotel, Mistral Beach Club has the perfect setting on a quiet beach around 20 minutes by car from Split's Old Town. For us it's the best beach club in Split thanks to its secluded out-of-town location and relaxed vibes. You won't find hordes of tourists here, but you will find upscale cocktails and food options, well-kept loungers, and a stylish luxury hotel aesthetic.
Mistral's cabanas are set right on the rocks next to the pristine Adriatic Sea.
During the week Mistral is a quiet oasis for those looking to escape the hustle of Split's Old Town and the crowded city beaches. But at the weekend there's usually a lively party schedule featuring big-name international DJs, dancers, and other performers.
You can rent a private area at Mistral Beach Club for your family or friends.
It's a good idea to book ahead if you're planning to come at the weekend. Prices for sun loungers vary between 30-45 euros from low to high season, and private cabanas cost between 100-200 euros for 2 people per day. There's also the option to take over one of their Private VIP Lounges for larger groups for a minimum spend of 500-1300 euros. Visit the Mistral Beach Club website to book and find out more.

Bus: The nearest bus stop to the beach bar is TRSTENIK 1 which is about a 10-15 minute walk away. It is served by the number 17 bus which leaves from Pazar bus stop in Old Town.
Uber or Taxi: A more comfortable option is a taxi or Uber ride from Split Old Town will take you around 10-20 minutes depending on traffic. It should cost between 5-10 euros during the summer months.
Joe's Beach Lounge is very popular during the summer months.
2. Joe's Beach Lounge & Bar (Kasjuni Beach)
This laidback bar on Kasjuni beach is famous for it's stunning sunset views and gorgeous natural beauty. The beach is surrounded by Marjan Forest Park, so while you get amazing views of the rocky cliffs, verdant green hills, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. It's all so stunning it's easy to forget you're still in the city! If you don't have time to get out to the islands around Split, we strongly recommend you include this slice of paradise on your Split itinerary.
Don't miss sunset at Joe's Beach Bar! It's one of the most beautiful spots in the city.
Joe's can get very busy during the height of summer, so it's a good idea to reserve a lounger or cabana in advance via their website. Sun loungers cost 35 euros and luxury cabanas for 2 people cost around 70-100 euros depending on the season. Basic light meals and snacks are available, and it's also possible to get a massage or hire a paddleboard or kayak directly from the beach club.
How to get to Joe's Beach Bar, Kasjuni Beach:
Walking: Joe's bar can be a little tricky to get to since it is located in Split's beautiful Marjan Forest Park. If you're staying in Old Town it's about a 45-50 minute walk along the coast, but you'll need to walk on a fairly busy road for part of that.
Bus: The best option is to hop on the number 12 bus which leaves from the SVETI FRANE bus stop at the end of the Riva. Pay in cash to the driver (2 euros per person) or buy your ticket on the Promet app (1 euro). It's a steep 10 minute walk down from Kasjuni Beach bus stop to reach the beach club.
Uber or Taxi: For a more comfortable and faster option, grab an Uber or taxi. The ride from Old Town to Joe’s Beach Lounge & Bar takes around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. It should cost between 5-10 euros during the summer.
Driving: We really don't recommend driving yourself to Kasjuni Beach because there's very little parking and the road gets extremely busy in the summer!
Head to Bene Beach for spectacular sunsets and relaxed beaching.
3. Benessi (Bene Beach)
Benessi at Bene Beach is a true locals' spot thanks to it's hidden location, reasonable pricing, and low-key charm. Nestled in the forest at the very tip of Marjan Park in a quiet bay shaded by trees, this bar is great for families and those looking for a place to relax. The water here is calm and clear and there are plenty of spots to chill in the shade.
Benessi bar is a popular spot for locals to linger over a coffee or a beer, and there's a decent menu available for lunch during high season. The bar offers sun loungers to rent for about 25-30 euros per day on a first-come-first-served basis. There are also plenty of stone tables and chairs scattered around the bay if you want to bring your own supplies.
How to get to Benessi Beach Bar in Split:
Walking: Benessi can be tricky to get to since it's also located in the Marjan Forest Park and there's no direct access for cars. If you're not in a rush, you can stroll there from Old Town through the forest park in about 45-50 minutes. It's a lovely walk which takes you along the coastal path - don't forget to stop and take lots of photos!
Bus: Alternatively you can hop on the number 12 bus which leaves from the SVETI FRANE bus stop at the end of the Riva. Bene beach is the final stop and it takes about 20 minutes.
Uber or Taxi: You can take a taxi to the entrance to the part, but note that private vehicles are not allowed to enter the park. Get them to drop you off at the main park entrance in Spinut. From here it's about a 20 minute walk to Bene beach.
Mingle with locals at Jadran Beach Bar.
4. Jadran Beach Bar
Split locals love to hang out at this unassuming beach club next to the public swimming pool. The vibe here is more easy-going and family-friendly than the other beach clubs on this list. Jadran Beach Bar is more about splashing around with your kids, people-watching, and immersing yourself in local life. Don't expect fancy cocktails and impeccable service - this local spot is lively and authentic!
You can either rent a sun lounger, grab a table, or do as the locals do and stretch out on your towel on the concrete. During the summer there's usually a DJ playing until late at the weekends which brings in a young(ish) crowd to dance and party the night away. Trust us - it's a lot of fun! Take cash since they don't accept card payments.

Best Bačvice Beach Clubs
Regarded by locals as the city beach, Bačvice is an easy 10-minute stroll from Split Old Town. It tends to be very busy and crowded in high summer, but it's a convenient option if you're staying in the city and want a quick trip to the local beach. It's also popular with families since it's a sandy beach set in a very shallow and calm bay. Most of the options here are beachside bars rather than full-service beach clubs, so be prepared to bring your own towel and enough cash!
Cafe Bar Dalton and La Playa Day and Night are two fairly similar beach bars set on the concrete strip on the left side of Bačvice bay. They're both decent spots to grab a beer and watch the world go by.
Kavana Ovčice (below) is a pleasant local bar just around the corner from Bačvice and offers sun loungers set on a nice terrace overlooking the sea. Sun loungers cost 10-15 euros per day depending on the season and drinks prices tend to be very reasonable.

This dreamy castaway-style beach club is located on the island of Čiovo about a 90 minute drive from Split. On summer weekends it's a good idea to get there early or try to reserve loungers in advance since it can get busy.

Borkko has its own small dock area where you can disembark. If you'd like to do this, we can help you secure the best price and boat options. Just fill out our contact form here.
Another easy option to visit Borkko Beach Club is via a private or group boat tour of the islands. Some operators stop at Borkko for their smaller boat trips, as well as stopping off at gorgeous beaches and bays along the way that are only really accessible by boat.
We enjoyed this 3-island speedboat tour from Split which takes you snorkelling in the clearest azure waters on the island of Solta as well as time spent relaxing at Borkko Beach Club and in Trogir itself.
You can also book a private boat trip and create your own itinerary if you want to really go off the beaten track and see the beaches only locals know about. If you'd like help arranging this, feel free to send us a message.
